Nationwide settles suit over insurance charges

The class-action lawsuit accused Columbus-based Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. of charging as many as 200000 people too much for certain term life-insurance policies issued between 1990 and 2006. Nationwide spokesman Dan rzano said both sides agreed not to talk about the settlement. According to a court filing Nationwide maintained it did nothing wrong but agreed to the settlement to avoid the costs of continuing on with the lawsuit.
