While the overpaid suits from the insurance companies health maintenance organizations pharmaceutical companies hospitals etc. met a week or so ago for the photo opportunity at the White House and promised to work for the establishment of a first world health care system it was in my opinion nothing more than the usual smoke and mirrors signifying absolutely nothing. While I most certainly?once and for all?want a national health care system and the elimination of private insurance it will be a long term battle to make any sort of change in the status quo.
