United Insurance CF Nicholas Griffin steps down

Griffin said in the release said that decision to leave does not reflect negatively on United Insurance (TCBB: UIHC) a property and casualty company that was founded in 1999 and went public in ctober as a result of a reverse merger. Griffin resigned effective June 5 but will remain with the company through mid-July to assist in the transition of his duties the release said. United Insurance said it would immediately begin a search for a successor.

Nearly one of every five working-age adults in Washington state lacks health insurance a record rate for this decade and a number that’s unlikely to fall without comprehensive changes in health care according to estimates released Monday by the Washington state ffice of the Insurance Commissioner. Some 876000 residents are or will be uninsured this year an increase of 150000 people from 2008 Commissioner Mike Kreidler said.
